OWEN BONES - MACH ONE (FEAT. TUNJI IGE & LIL AARON)

Chicago's Owen Bones doesn't have that large of a catalogue yet, but we're picturing big things ahead for this upstart rapper. Owen first came across my radar with his track "Stuntman (feat. Kevin Abstract & Mick Jenkins" a few months ago. When I saw his new single "Mach One" featuring Tunji Ige and another one of our BB faves lil aaron I figured something tight was about to drop. To my delight what I got was a fun, weekend ready single that's smooth and full of energy. On top of that he's got a pretty cool website where you can get links to download/stream this single. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more in the future from this camp.

LOUIS THE CHILD - WEEKEND

If you caught Louis The Child's set at Coachella this year - you got to hear this track with the Icona Pop girls live - they were a surprise performance with the yung Chicago producers and it was fire! Today they drop "Weekend" featuring the lovely Icona ladies, and this one was also co-written by our homie and most favorite muffin Lil Aaron. It's hard to believe that just a year ago I was booking Louis The Child for a small LA pool party where I had to convince the promoter it was the right move, and now they are selling out 2000+ venues. Bananas! I will always have huge love for these boys - once again they crush!

My main squeeze Lil Aaron dropped a new one yesterday and it's my making morning hours shine! Explicit content in this one kids! Lil Aaron's gritty electro hip-hop sound is something all his own - a gleaming example of originality that is hard to achieve, but Lil Aaron does it with ease! "PROLLY" features iLOVEMAKONNEN and is produced by the homies Judge & Y2K, and this one is a banger!

I'm not feeling very talkative this morning .... it's Friday so I should be happy about the weekend being here ... but I work weekends and Fridays are the new release days so actually Fridays are just like any other day, crazy busy. This year at SXSW, when I got to my AirBNB these two little angels were crashed out on my floor - and Lil Aaron didn't have a blanket or pillow or anything! I said, "Lil Aaron that's not right, damn" and I grabbed the comforter and a pillow from my bed and hooked it up! What a great week tho, seeing Y2K and Lil Aaron bounce in and out of my venue, as well as deliver a siiick set! I love these boys!! Lil Aaron has been working with all sorts of our homies lately, and the creative vibes are strong!  "DAMN" has all kinds of sexy future beats under dynamic R&B x Hip-Hop vocals ....
